Product basics
Cyte watches your competitors where your buyers look — their websites, the review sites and community threads that mention them, the press that quotes them, and what AI engines say about them — and compares all of it with you. Thousands of AI agents do the work around the clock, in one loop of four steps. (1) Track: how the major AI engines mention you and each competitor across buyer-intent queries. (2) Compare: your website, each competitor's website and the outside sources the engines cite, site against site and topic against topic. (3) Detect: competitor sites re-read on a schedule, with the changes that matter surfaced. (4) Act: suggested improvements each morning based on the difference, with evidence and an outline for each item.
An agent is one AI job: reading a page, asking one AI engine one prompt, comparing two pages, or drafting a suggested improvement. Cyte runs them on a schedule, day and night, so the work is done before your team starts. Core runs hundreds of agent tasks every week, Plus thousands every week, and Pro and Agency thousands every day.
No. Live today: your website and each competitor's website are read, compared and watched for changes, and every outside source an AI engine cites in a tracked answer is recorded with who it was cited for. That is how you see a review site, a Reddit thread or a press article that is quoted for competitors and never for you. Coming soon: social media tracking for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads and TikTok, and review scores on sites such as G2, Capterra and Trustpilot.
It does not do your marketing. The agents watch, compare and suggest; they do not design, write campaigns, run ads or post on your behalf, and they do not write finished articles. Each suggestion comes with an action brief: the objective, the target page, an outline, the facts to include and a checklist. Your team, or your agency, does the work. Cyte tells it where to put the effort.
Seven: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok and Google AI Overviews, on every plan. Model versions are updated as providers release them. You can pick a subset.
It depends on the plan. Custom prompts run weekly on every plan; on Pro you choose up to 50 that run daily. The comparison ranking against your competitors runs weekly on Core and daily on Plus and above. Competitor sites are checked weekly on Core and daily on Plus and above.
Queries that real buyers in your category actually ask: ‘best [category] for [use case]’, ‘alternatives to [competitor]’, ‘[your brand] vs [competitor]’, ‘is [your brand] worth it’. We generate an initial set from your domain and let you add or remove any.
Yes — competitors are the centre of the product. For every prompt you track you’ll see each competitor’s presence, rank, and how each one is described. Cyte also reads each competitor’s website, tells you when it changes, and writes a teardown of why a competitor shows up ahead of you. Core watches one competitor, Plus three, and Pro five, with room for up to ten.
How it works
Base 35 for being mentioned, plus bonuses for position (up to +28 for #1, scaling 28/22/17/13/9 down to #5, then +4), frequency (up to +18 for repeat mentions, +4 per extra mention), and sentiment (+12 positive, +3 mixed, −8 negative). Capped at 100. The same formula scores you and every competitor. Citations are tracked separately as a gap-analysis signal, not a score component. The full methodology is published, not hidden behind ‘proprietary’: the Methodology page has every number.
Something a competitor has and you don't: a page on a topic you never covered, a comparison page, prices on the pricing page, a review profile with recent reviews, a community thread where a competitor is recommended, an AI answer that names a competitor and not you. Every gap Cyte finds feeds the daily list, with the evidence attached.
Each day Cyte surfaces a few specific changes to make on your own site. They come from the competitor teardowns, from changes detected on competitor sites, from topics competitors cover and you don’t, from visibility gaps, and from checks on your own site. Each idea shows its evidence and how strong that evidence is. Open one for an action brief: the objective, the target page, what it must include, and a checklist. Cyte does not write the content — your team does. Mark an idea done and Cyte re-checks the related prompts at 7, 14, 28 and 42 days. On a day with nothing worth your time, it says so.
No. SEO tools rank your pages for Google queries. Cyte is about competitors: what competitors have that you don't, what they just changed, and where competitors are recommended and you are not — on their sites, in reviews and communities, and in AI answers. Most teams run it next to their SEO tool. Google Search Console and Analytics connections are on the roadmap.
It doesn’t claim to. When a competitor changes something, Cyte watches the related prompts afterwards and reports what it sees: how far scores moved against their normal run-to-run variation, whether the changed page is cited in the answers, and what else changed in the same period. That is shown as an observation with a confidence level — ‘possibly related’, ‘no clear link’ — never as proof that one caused the other.
Buying Cyte
Because of the work behind every plan. For each customer, Cyte runs thousands of AI agents around the clock: reading competitor pages, following the sources AI engines cite, asking the engines your buyers use, comparing it all with you, and writing your to-do list each morning. That is the reading and checking a competitive analyst would otherwise do by hand, done on a schedule, across every source the engines read. Core, Plus and Pro cost less than one analyst.
Competitor intelligence pays off over months, not days, so Cyte is priced per month on annual billing: Core €799, Plus €1,990, Pro €3,990 and Agency from €5,990. Monthly billing is available and costs 25% more: €999, €2,490, €4,990 and €7,490. Enterprise is an annual contract from €60,000 a year.
Setup takes a few minutes: Cyte suggests your competitors, the buyer-intent prompts worth tracking and the pages to watch, and you approve them. Video guides walk through every part of Cyte, so your team is up to speed on day one. Enterprise adds onboarding with the Cyte team and a dedicated contact.
Yes. Every plan is invoiced through Stripe with your company name, VAT ID and billing address, and EU reverse charge is supported. Enterprise runs on an annual contract, with purchase orders, net-30 terms and a DPA on request.
Not by default. A trial is a guided pilot on your own competitors, set up by the team on request. Tell us about your company and who you compete with, and we decide together whether a pilot makes sense. We read every request and reply within a day.
Data & integrations
Cyte is hosted in the EU and operated by an EU-registered business. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, your own API keys are encrypted before storage and can be revoked at any time, and your data is never used to train any model. A DPA is available on request, and Enterprise adds an audit log, with SSO and SCIM on request. The Security page has the details.
Not yet. Read-only connections to both are on the roadmap, so you can set AI visibility next to your traffic data.
Yes. CSV exports for prompts, runs, and citations. REST API access (read + write) on Plus and above. Self-serve full-workspace data export (ZIP of everything) in Workspace Settings. Your data is yours.
Not yet. Slack alerts are on the roadmap. Today you get a weekly digest by email and in-app notifications when a competitor makes a major change.
Notion is on the roadmap. HubSpot and Salesforce are further out, and we build what customers ask for. If either matters to your team, tell us.
